Gardner is involved in the manufacturing of parts for a demonstrator wing project that could change the way wings are designed in future.

This advancement in wing construction means aircraft can be built to more efficient timescales.

We are producing and supplying complex parts, manufactured in our Derby facility, to GKN Aerospace for them to construct the wing in their new technology centre in Bristol.

Gardner FDM is also supplying 3D printed components which are currently being trialled within the demonstrator wing build.

It is extremely exciting to be part of the future implementation of new technologies into the world of aerospace. This investment aligns with Gardner’s strategy to be adapting, modernising and growing with the latest aerospace manufacturing techniques.
