Inspector

Job responsibilities

  • To provide Quality and Inspection support for both existing and new business opportunities and to develop the Right First Time philosophy required to become a leading supplier of quality components to the aerospace industry
  • Maintain quality control within the manufacturing process, in line with business standards and customer requirements
  • Check and verify the compliance of components produced at all stages within business
  • First article inspection procedures
  • Identify reoccurring quality issues and communicate them to the chief inspector along with recommendations
  • Assist in the 5Y quality procedure and produce rout cause analysis of product failures
  • Incorporate standardisation of jigs, fixtures and tooling wherever possible
  • Non-conformance procedures
  • Represent quality function at team meetings
  • Support, develop and improve the relationship with our quality contacts within our customer base
  • Support and promote improvement activities to directly benefit our products and manufacturing processes
  • To work within cross functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects as required.
  • To support, develop, maintain and improve the company’s quality management system and conduct internal audits against the system
  • To control calibration activity of all instrument on regular basis
  • To conduct root cause analyses, SPC and other appropriate quality tools and techniques to ensure that the manufacturing processes meet customer requirements

Required qualification

  • Previous Internal auditing experience
  • Experienced in an engineering background
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Technical knowledge & experience within the aerospace sector preferred
  • Experience in a quality control environment preferred
  • Provide 1st Article Inspection Reports
  • Working to ISO 9001
  • Experience of Machining / Fabrications and Treatments
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with minimum supervision
  • CMM experience advantageous but not essential
  • Experience in lean tools such as 8D, Kaizen (Continues Improvement) processes
  • Chemical and special processes knowledge
  • Aerospace manufacturing background ideally specific NADCAP experience
  • New Product Introduction & associated tools FMEA, APQP + PPAP Awareness
  • Practical Problem Solving skills
  • Excellent IT Skills
Sheet Metal Worker
  • Term: Full-time

Job responsibilities

  • As a company we work to the aerospace AS9100 quality standard. We expect our employees in this role to be able to follow procedures, have the ability to read complex engineering drawings and produce work to a very high standard.

Required qualification

  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry
  • Ability to understand and interpret engineering drawings and aerospace specifications
  • Setting up to operate fabricating machines including brake press, guillotine and band saws to cut, bend and straighten metal as required
  • Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on materials/ panels according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares and rulers
  • Inspect individual parts, assemblies and installations for conformance to specifications, quality standards, using measuring instruments.
  • You must be competent at general Sheet Metal duties including; deburring, drilling
  • Having previously worked in precision engineering/manufacturing is essential for this position
  • Primarily be working with aluminum and some mild steel & stainless steel.
  • Shape metal materials using both hand and others tools including: Stretch Forming; Rubber Press; Brake Press;
  • Adhere and follow ISO9001 procedures
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver parts on time
  • Problem analysis and decision making
  • Knowledge and proven experience of fabrication techniques
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and other modern manufacturing methods
  • Strict adherence to health and safety, and standard operation protocols expected
Site Director

Job responsibilities

  • To provide the strategic and operational management of the Site and production manufacturing facility
  • To lead the operations facility in meeting and exceeding customer requirements on safety, quality, cost and delivery and to include the achievement of site budgets
  • To ensure that the site business achieves agreed financial, operational and commercial objectives
  • To provide the day to day operational management of the site and to ensure the 5 year business plan is deployed in an effective manner
  • To develop a culture of continuous improvement in the workplace
  • To ensure quality standards and procedures are observed and maintained
  • To work within cross functional teams to support business development, growth and improvement projects as required
  • To provide leadership and direction for the site and its employees
  • To assist in the development and maintenance of a clear strategy and business plans for the business / site.
