We are delighted to announce the appointment of Philipp Visotschnig, 46, as future Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gardner Aerospace. Philipp will be entrusted with the day-to-day management of Gardner Aerospace and reports to the Board of Directors. During the short transition until Philipp’s eventual on-boarding, Tony Upton will continue to act as interim CEO beyond his role as CFO of Gardner Aerospace.

Philipp is a recognized leader in the aerospace industry with a rich experience in business transformation and operational restructuring (ramp-up management, cost savings, build-up and M&A), accumulated in complex industrial environments in Europe and China.

Today, Philipp is CFO of Airbus China and accounts for all financial matters of Airbus in Greater China, including joint-ventures in engineering, manufacturing, and services.

Between January 2012 and June 2016, he served as Chief Restructuring Officer of PFW Aerospace GmbH, a German aerospace tubes and ducts manufacturer, in charge of managing its turnaround, while at the same time ramping-up the A350 program and its supply chain. He is also experienced in product development and project management gained, in particular, from previous engagements with Airbus and Daimler AG. Philipp graduated from Graz University (Austria) and holds also a degree from University College Dublin (Ireland). Philipp is the proud father of two teenagers and in his free time enjoys all types of outdoor sports.

We look forward to welcoming Philipp to Gardner Aerospace. We remain optimistic that the aerospace industry will continue to recover and are confident that, with his expertise in the aerospace market, Philipp’s appointment as the CEO in the near future will bring greater success to Gardner Aerospace.
